wild boar with a Huntsman?
« on: November 15, 2005, 08:06:52 AM »
I'm leaving tomorrow to hunt deer and hogs in East TN with my .50 Huntsman.  I'm going to be using 2 777 pellets with a 295gr Powerbelt bullet.

Have any of yall hunted hogs with this load and if so, how did you fare?

Well, we got back Saturday night from Catoosa WMA in East Tn. The only thing we got was COLD! The first morning was 15 degrees and the next two mornings was 12 degrees!
We saw a few deer but no pigs. The bucks have to have at least 4 points on one side to be legal and the biggest we saw was 4 points total. There were several deer killed over the 3 day hunt but nothing from our group. We had a good time and got to hunt some new country though, and I think that's what counts.

   Good huntin' to you all.
