What's the base of choice on Encore barrels? I prefer the Warne Maxima bases on Contender barrels, but with the contour of the Encore, not so crazy about the "gap" between base and barrel on the "overhang". The Duo-ring and base from T/C works well on the smaller caliber blue barrels, but since they do not make them in silver finish, don't exacty match the SS finish. And I see Burris makes a dual dovetail base w/silver finish that looks to "fit" the Encore barrel w/o overhang, but I have yet to use.

I like the Warne Maxima bases for my Encores. The gap does not bother me. My buddy got the Leupold mount and it is smaller and does not give him the gap.  :D

I also use the standard Weaver base with Burris Signature Z rings.  Gap looks a little odd at first, but the lines of the gun look clean still the same (not that Im all about comsmetic appearance  :) .)

I have a Stratton Custom on my Encore .375 H&H Mag.  Has a space for an extra ring if you want a three ring setup.
