Remington Managed Recoil Ammunition
« on: November 10, 2005, 03:11:45 AM »
Well since no one here or apparently anywhere else has shot any of the Remington Managed Recoil ammo or taken any game with it other than magazine writers,,,,, I bought some and plan on giving some comments soon on it.

I bought some in 300 Win Mag and hope to get to use it on some deer this weekend.

Not trying to be a smart guy, but why have a 300 Win Mag and then buy down loaded ammo? Why not get a gun with less recoil, like a 308 or some thing like that. Just curious.  :D

When I bought the encore last year, the factory heavy barrels only came in four calibers, 223, 22-250, 7mm, and 300 win mag. I already have a 7, a Ruger #1, 7 STW, and the others arent really deer calibers so I bought the 300. This gun kicks a LOT more than my 7STW. I plan on having a break put on it after this season but ran out of time and money(haha) this year.
I dont consider your response being smart and is a logical question. I hope this answers it. I guess my other option is to order a custom barrel in another caliber, but that takes money too.
