Chinese Norinco Tokarev's
« on: November 07, 2005, 06:53:11 PM »
I found two Chinese Norinco Tokarev's in 7,62x25.  I have only seen them in 9mm in the past. One appears to be unshot still in new condition with 100% bluing and the other looks used. Both guns appear to be different in the way they are marked too. Both guns came with their orginal boxes and extra mags. One is priced $165(used) and $175(new) what do you think? good or bad?  I don't see too many tokarev's around here so to me they are kind of rare. I have only seen chinese tokarev's in the past in 9mm.

That is a smokin good deal. You will usually see them go for +/- 300.00 depending on the area. I'd snatch both up and if need be sell the one you don't want.

D MAN - get them both, those are incredible deals.  For almost next to nothing you can get 9mm conversion barrels for them if you want.  If you get them use the S&B ammo, it is great stuff.  For hollowpoints I would think about the FNN ammo they boast to 1500+'/sec (maybe) or reload using some of Ron Reed's information.

I took a buddy to the range with mine almost 20 years ago - he was so convinced he bought two and inherited his father's, giving him 3.  He uses S&B a lot and just loves it.  Never had a problem with any of his or mine.  HTH.  Mikey.

Done deal got'em.....thanks.......

I shot a Chinese Norinco Tokarev in 9mm the other day and i'm surprised the way it handled the 9mm round. The recoil wasn't bad at all. Now is see why so many like them, these are sweet little shooters too.

D MAN - I find the 9mm in my Tok shoots high but that is due to the regulationof the sights for the flatter shooting 7.62x25mm.  Recoil with the 9mm is very light - the springs in the Tok and the design of the hammer/sear group work to reduce operational recoil of the 7.62 round to a manageable level - the 9mm doesn't recoil as much as the 7,62 does.

Nice buy - you should have fun with those - not to mention the fact that they are serious products for self defense.  HTH.  Mikey.
