Thank you for the compliment. You are a decerning mechanic.
I've had a few call my sprue plate design cheep, but would like to have the world know that I probably have 10 times as much invested in tooling and labor required to make my sprueplates as any other mold maker. There are several design factors built into them to make precision casting and consistent weights possible and easy to obtain. Things which it seems no one else understands or cares enough about to address knowledgably.
Most customers don't mention the plate design, so I appreciate it when someone does.
