K98 finish

I have a k98 Mauser. I don't know if this is the correct form to ask this question ,but I will give it a try.

When the K98 was manufactured I have heard that some of the parts were left in the white (no finish). Was this the butt plate and the bolt? If it was the bolt was it the complete bolt are just parts?

metal finish, looking under the stock it looks like the finish was beep black not blue?

From the ones I have seen, the entire bolt assembly was in the white.
The Military Surplus Forum on this site should have lots of info for you.
