Now as the world probably knows by now I'm no real Ruger fan and as such don't keep up with them as well as some do. BUT I believe this was a one time limited run and may or may NOT ever be done again. Same as the first run of them was. Don't think it should be considered an addition to the regular product line. Like last time IF they make them again it could be yeards from now. As I said don't take this to the bank as I really don't keep up with Ruger stuff as much as some do but I really think that is why folks who "think" they have one on order are still waiting for so long.

If you check internet classifieds and auctions, you should be able to find a new or used one quite easily.  Gunsamerica.com has several, some new in box.

Moderators can delete ANY post on their respective forums. BUT that wasn't anti Ruger. Just stated I wasn't a real fan and then made comments as to what little I knew. Now look around and you're likely to find some REAL negative comments.  :-D

Just bought my SBH Hunter last weekend at the gun show. I like it alot. I just put new Hogue Monogrips (Finger Groove) on it tonight. The factory wood grips were a little to slick for me. The gun is real stout, unfluted cylinder and heavy barrel with factory scope mounts. I took the mounts off for now, not sure if I'm going to scope it yet or not. I am going to work up some HOT hunting loads for this gun. BTW it was the only one I saw at the gun show, grabbed it up quick.

Were those Hogue grips in their original packaging? If so did they have the words, "fits all Super Blackhawk except those with round trigger guard"? All of the ones I have seen do. They will go on mine but leave a pretty good gap behind the guard. If you don't have that problem, would you please tell us what the stock number on the package is. Maybe they came out with some, finally.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

Last year I wanted a hunter model but none were around to be had and I "settled"for a SS super black hawk, 7.5" .44. I never looked back. I wanted the hunter model to scope for white tail. I did find a Raging Bull in .454 that has vent rib barrel for Tarurs's scope mounts. This system looked very good to me and I will just keep the open sight Ruger for hunting where the scope just won't do.  :D

I love my Ruger's
(ironically the best grouping loads I developed for each pistol were not very far apart in power, both should shoot through 2 or 3 deer stacked, my point being deer just don't need that much mojo...but it's nice to have in case a wolly mammoth pops up)
