CZ rifles
« on: October 27, 2005, 06:41:59 AM »
I will tell you guys one thing, I purchased my first CZ not to long ago and since then I have decided that these rifles are the best thing going out there in their price range. When I am looking for a new rifle now, all I do is look at the CZ's - I don't even consider anything else.
I am a little bummed though cause I am really wanting a 25-06 but CZ doesn't make a rifle in this caliber. DO any of you know how much it would be to have a smith convert one over to a 25-06? What caliber would I need to start off with? Thanks :D

Since there appears to be no smaller-cased .25 caliber (such as .257 Roberts) chambered in the CZ, that would be also be chambered in a long action rifle and also have the same case head diameter, it looks like the easiest thing to do to obtain a .25-06 would be to get one in the same cartridge family (such as a .30-06 or .270 Win) and have it rebarrelled to that caliber.  This way the action would be the proper length and the feed rails would already be correct for that cartridge case.

Only accurate rifles are interesting.
