New CZ 453 American 22LR - Pics & Range Report
« on: October 18, 2005, 11:31:46 AM »
Here are some pics of my new 453 American .22LR:

By the way, I didn't do the "3 shot clean, 3 shot clean" thing.  I just took it to the range and shot it, and I must say I'm very pleased with how it shot.

At 25 Yds I shot Ten 5 Shot Groups for each type of ammo.  No cleaning inbetween ammo types.  Probably should have, but I just kept shooting.  Below is the Ammo type and the overall average center to center group size for each.  By the way, out of the fifty 5 shot groups, 13 of them maxed the BDT practice target.  Not bad for a first time out.  Did I tell you I love the single set trigger?

Ammo____________Avg CTC Group for 10 5shot groups @ 25 Yds
RWS Target________.245
Wolf Match Target___.269
PMC Zapper________.271
Fed Gold Metal______.279
RWS Subsonic______.287

Here are some 50 Yd 5 shot groups.  Wind had picked up on the RWS Group on the left.  The other RWS group did very well.

So far I'm extremely pleased with the CZ 453.  (Once again....I love the single set trigger)
