Savage Sierra Update

Went shooting this past weekend. We sanded out the bbl channel, until you can fit a doubled business card all the way around with the bbl hot, and the full weight of the rifle on the nose of the stock. As I stated before the bolt has been cleaned and lightly lubed, the trigger adjusted as much as is savagely possible, and the bbl totally cleaned with Outers Foaming Bore Cleaner 2X, and Iosso. So yes we got where we wanted! 4 groups avg. all at 1.5" or better, and consistent clustering, NO stringing! Thanks for all the advice guys, I really appreciate the help. I think with a new trigger, and a bedding job things would only get better, but pop is satisfied and that is what counts, besides, now I can send the Crow Ala' Savage back to the chef!!

b'h'

yes, i'm one of the anti-SSssssaaaa'       -- one of those guys!

BUT, you don't have to apologize for being good to your dad and working on a rifle to help him out......even if it is a SSSsssssssss....

i hope that you and he both get what you want out of this hunting season and have a good time sharing the memories of the hunts and the help that you gave him.

best regards,

ss'
