Is Loctite 222 the correct one to use for mounting scope base on Encore barrel?

I use the blue. It is removable. The number on the bottle is 242.

Redhawk is correct in my opinion.... 242 will work great .
Most loctite products are color coded...
1.) Green is a sleeve retainer or bearing lock.
2.) Blue is a medium duty hand tool removed.
3.) Red is a High Strength With special tools needed to remove.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to leave the mount on the barrel then I would use red. Just be sure that the mount you install is the one that you or who ever you might sell it to will be the correct one.

Thanks for all your help guys, ain't life confusing. Loctite here in New Zealand is marketed in Australia and made in China. The Loctite I have had to go for is # 222, a purple colour and used for screws and light bolts, removable with hand tools.

222 is removable and is made for small screws. 242 will work but sometimes comes loose with small screws. This is per the Locktight rep, we use a lot of it at work. He gave me a bottle of each a while back and I use both with good results.
