Beginning to think I might be "odd"...I own one...1980 Ruger M-77 in .243...
I let my brothers buy them...then I can use them...They have to bring to me to do anything to them anyway....

don't feel left out. i only have one bolt action centerfire. i have 2 other bolt actions that aren't centerfire and i have a lever gun and a single shot centerfire.

so having "only" one bolt action centerfire isn't so bad....just don't say it out loud around here.... :)

Hey you're not "odd" at all.  If either of my Grandfather’s were to see the number of firearms I have both would consider me crazy at best.  My Grandfather on my Fathers side figured as long as he had his Purdey 12 ga sidelock, and his Winchester M52 .22lr. they were all he needed to hunt birds and small game.  He didn’t hunt big game.  My Grandfather on my Mother’s side had his Marlin 336 .30-30, His Long Tom single shot 12 ga. shotgun and his Marlin M39 .22lr and considered they were all he needed for anything he wanted to hunt.  Now all those guns sit in my safes.  Every so often I take one out hunting/shooting just to keep the memories alive.  Lawdog

Well I felt a little left out too.. I went over 20 way too fast.. Heck I've got six 6.5x55's(one is a Featherweight)! I solved the space problem. I found the door system from a bank vault(old) and added a concrete room onto my basement. Steel on 1 foot centers and 2 layers of laminated steel.. Did I mention the vaults 18x22,,,,feet.  I haven't filled it yet, but I'm working on it!

In my earlier post, I counted 12 rifles.

Just added two more

SMLE #4 Mk1

Howaby 300 Weatherby Magnum.

That makes 14.

Living in the midwest I don't get to use centerfire rifles for big game hunting.    I've thinned down my centerfire bolt guns from 5 to 2.  Sold a Ruger LH 300 Win Mag., a Savage left hand 110DL in .270, and a Savage 110FP 223 not too long ago.

I still have a Browning 25/06 left hand Abolt and a Savage left hand 7mm-08
An AR-15 and a 14" TC Contender barrel take care of my 223 needs.

Way too many:  17machIV,17rem,221fireball,222,222mag,222AI,22Br,
223,223AI,22-250AI,22ppc,6x47,6br,6brtalldog,6ppc,243,6mmrem,
6mmremAI,6x284,264mag,6.5x284,270,284,30IHMSA,30x44,30x47,
30-338mag,300wby,300mag,300RUM and a 30cal custom 7.62x39.  I have more than one rifle in some calibers have  45 centerfire rifles about 5 pistols and 6 shotguns.   We are going to be building a house this spring and having a vault room to keep all the firearms and should be large enought so I can use it as a loading room.  I'm lucky as my wife likes to shoot and hunt and being married 40yrs helps.

Just two:

     Savage Sporter 25-20
     Weatherby Vanguard 300WSM

What can't be killed with the 25-20WCF gets the 300WSM.  What can't be killed with the 300WSM gets runned away from.....
I aim to please - but often miss.
