someone made a .45 acp semi auto rifle that was compatable to the 1911 with clips and parts.  Sounds like a good combination.  I know that Marlin made the Camp Gun for a while but they are a little hard to find for a reasonable price. Ideas?

There is a conversion that will turn a 1911 into a carbine. I found it on the web, Go to Google and search for " 45 acp carbine conversion ".  The place is called DCF Enterprises, I shot one when they first came out and was pretty impressed with the way it felt and the accuracy was really good. Around $300.    KN
