Remington laminate stock finish

What kind of finish is on the Remington factory laminated stocks?  The are pretty glossy and I kinda like that.  Might use something similar on a stock I have ordered.

I've redone a stock of mine and found that the more you rub the oil in the shiner it gets. So I would figure that Rem stocks would have alot of oil rubed in. I don't really know what Rem does but thats what I think. :D

I have a Remington VLS in 6mm Rem. and find the stock is rather glossy, but I like it.  I guess it's just a matter of personal taste.  Best wishes.
