Hello everyone,
This is something i have been kicking around for awhile, just never had the money or time to really put any effort into it....Until now
I have always wanted a nice short barrelled varmint/target rifle, that is handy rugged lightweight and very accurate, without going broke to do it.
having a synthetic stock, bull barrel or semi bull 20"-22" long and using a rem 700 or model 7 action.
The problem i have had is the barrel length, for a .223 is 20" long enough to get this done, i know that AR's and mini's have short barrels. And also what rate of twist would one use.
Im not asking to shoot at 1000 meters just 300yds or less at coyotes etc.
is this a foolish idea or should i just make it how i want it to be.
just looking for a place to start.
thanks
Dave
