Lets get a good picture thread going of everyones rifles and shotguns. Post the model and caliber along with your pics.
Here are my two. The upper one is a 527 American in .223 and the bottom one is a 452 American in 17 HM2. I really enjoy the light carry weight of the American package for a hunting rifle but hope to get a varmint model in 17HMR for a good bench gun soon.

BD Haley here is a three of my cz's one being my 9.3x62 lux with leupold 2-7 in warne fixed mounts, the other was a cz safari in .458 win mag which I had turned into a .458 lott, added a couple of cross bolts and a barrel band. Bottom is me with a couple of foxes shot with my cz 527 .22 Hornet. I also have a cz .416 with custom composite stock, a cz .375 H&H. I NEED more cz's

PC - some nice looking rifles you got there. Also some nice looking land in the picture of you. I bet you could shoot ground hogs all day long. How you liking your 22 hornet? I know what you mean about needing more CZ's, I told the wifey the other day that I wanted to become a collector of these rifles and that I want to have one of each model and would prefer to have more than one of each :-D  she wanted to know when I planned on getting a second job.

Hi There,

You might be a little surprise, but I don't recall ever measuring the groups   I know that the first ammo I loaded for this rifle and used for sighting in and hunting was using the Sierra pro Hunter 180 Grn bullet (rifle is a .308). Let a  friends buddy try it out at the range and he banged them all in the bull from the prone postirion and complained that the recoil was a bit much. It was then John told me that Phil his mate had only just started shooting rifles

I switched to using the Speer 165 grn flat based bullet after the Suerra bullet blew up on te first deer I shot with this rifle (my first Deer) it was a Roe Doe which only weighed about 35 lbs and the bullet blew up on her ribs at about 90 yards, clipped a rib going in and blew out three on exit, she dropped on the spot however I didn't think a 180 Grn bullet should come apart on such a light animal. Shot the rest of the ammo loaded with those Sierra's at the range. Never had a problem with the Speer bullets. Recently I tried loading some 125 grn bullets, I use them in a custom 30-30 bolt action rifle so I thought I would try them in the  CZ. So far the accuracy has not been what I am looking for as I am getting about 2-3" groups. Need to try a different powder and test it again, time is the enemy here. Those 125's shoot wonderfully in the 30-30 at about 2800 fps so I cannot see why they would not shoot well in the CZ, just have to find the correct powder and charge I suppose.

Meanwhile the ZKK 601 has taken a fair few Deer, Roe and Muntjac and as Muntjac only stand about 18" at the shoulder the accuracy has never been a problem.

I have never reloaded before so I probably wouldn't be much help to you in this department. Maybe the twist rate is different between these two rifles and that is why one is able to shoot that bullet better than the other. Reloading is something I plan to get into soon.

Krochus,
How does that carbine shoot, group size?  Really like those small guns.  I just got a trainer, WOW with Federal Gold Metal and CCI this is
the best shooting .22 I have ever had.  My 22 has a somewhat sticky bolt, how is yours?

                               Thanks Coalminer7

Hi All,

Took a few more photos today, the No2 I have posted in it's own post. here is the ZKK 601 with it's dedicated scope and mount fitted:-

The rear claw goes into a notch machined into the rear dovetail and there is a protrusion which stops against the front reciever ring so the mounts goes back in the same place when you remove it. Taking it off does not effect zero. Sorry for the dust in the oil film on the steel

CZman I like the .22 hornet for rabbits and foxes while whistling. The land I am on was my Fathers Farm but he got ill and past away April Gone so the farm was sold 12 months before that. Our neighbours whom are family friends bought the place and I am still abel to shoot there.

My Hornet was finicky to find the right load for but with 11 gr or win 296, rem case rem 7 1/2 primer and sierra 45 gr .224 OAL 1.71" hornet bullet it shoots under 1" . It's topped with a leupold 3-9x50mm Vari X 11.

I got to hold the CZ 720 auto loader this weekend and it felt great. Nice finish on the wood, lightweight, shouldered very well. Just a great all around nice gun. I have included it on my must have list.

Guys, guys,

Stop, you're killing me.  I'm in the market for a new rifle.  I think you've just sold me.  I'm really disgusted with my last two US made rifles and want to try something new.  I'm quite certain it will be a CZ.  Thanks for posting the pictures.  Best wishes.

Hi There,

The mount on my Zkk 601 is dedicated to that action and will not fit others in the line up, the dovetails on the 601 are much wider than those on the 452. Brno made these mounts I have also seen them for the Zkk 602 whihc is the long action. Now if Brno still makes them I do not know    I picked mine up used wiht the scope several years ago.

They are not the easiest to sight in as the scope has elevation adjustment only, windage is in the scope base and the thread on the adjustment screws it actually to coarse in my opinion, it should have been a fine pitch but it's not :(

On a slightly different note I was offered a mount which if I recall corectly was for the 602 but the stop peg at the front of the mount had been filed off. When I asked why it seems that the person had been using it on a earlier BSA rifle which had the same width dovetails. As I had at that time neither the 602 nor the correct type BSA rifle I declined the offer. Typically I have a BSA now which it would fit    Oh well!

CZ550 American in 243, Nikon Monarch scope.  I have only shot varmints with it so far, loaded up 55gr NBT . I have a bunch of 85gr SGK to load before deer season. Nice rifle, great quality and  good shooter. The rifle's claim to fame is that it appears in the Tennessee hunting guide for 2007/2008 being held by yours truly.

Seems like I'm the only guy who's proud enough of his shotgun to post a photo of it. So here is my little 20ga Woodcock, Wanda.

Hmm nice shotgun, we don't seem to seem them over here in the UK

Now to answer an earlier question about my 601 in .308 and it's accuracy well I remember doing a little testing a while ago and took this photo:-

Now I think I had the 6x42 scope on it when I shot this as the duplex reticle is better for target shooting that the German Tri Post in the 4x Zeiss Jena. Of course a better shot than I could probably tightened the group up.

Hope that answers the question
