Basic info for the current CZ rifle line
« on: September 27, 2005, 06:19:03 PM »
CZ-USA first opened a USA based headquarters in 1997 and was initially located in Oakhurst California but then relocated in 1998 to the current facility in Kansas City, Kansas. This is also where the warranty work and parts supply is located.

Here is a brief rundown on the current CZ line of rifles.

The CZ 550 is considered to be CZ’s line of big bore rifles and is available in many different calibers. They have several different styles of the 550 and all include an adjustable single set trigger, Mauser style claw extractor, square bridge receiver and a hammer forged barrel. They are available in many different barrel and stock configurations including a Bavarian Mannlicher style stock.

The CZ 527 is CZ’s answer to the small bore line of rifles. These rifles, according to CZ’s website, have won “more awards (in the light rifle category) in Europe than any other rifle - ever”.
These rifles feature a true micro Mauser style action, controlled round feed and a detachable magazine. They also include an adjustable single set trigger and a hammer forged barrel. The 527 is available in many different stock and barrel configurations.

CZ offers several different models in their rimfire line of rifles. The newest of them would be the 453 which is similar to its big brother, the 527, in that it offers an adjustable single set trigger. It is available in the American style with a sporter barrel and chambered in the 22 lr and 17 HM2. There is also a varmint version with the heavy bull barrel that is chambered in the 22lr.

The model 452, which is now available in a both right and left handed versions, does not have the single set trigger but still sports an adjustable trigger. The 452 is also available in many different stock and barrel configurations and chambered in all the popular rimfire cartridges.

CZ also offers a basic rimfire rifle, the model 513. It features a basic beechwood stock without any checkering. A 5 round clip and iron sights is standard on this rifle. The model 513 does not have a single set or adjustable trigger.

CZ has brought back to life its semi-automatic rimfire rifle, the CZ 511. It features an 8 round detachable magazine, iron sights and a walnut stock and is avaliable in the 22lr only.
