Smith revolver disassembly

Hi everyone. I'm kinda new here and hope this isn't a dumb question. How do you remove the cylinder from the yoke, and the yoke from the frame? I just want to do a thorough cleaning and have never seen a DA revolver taken apart. The cylinder rotates sorta "stiff". Its a M-60 if that matters. Thanks in advance for any advice.

There are 3 screws on the side of the revolver, the bottom screw is removed and then the yoke and cylinder can be removed.

Hammerdown is indeed correct. Make sure you use the proper fitting screwdriver. Guns don't look good with boogered up screws. :D

Hey all, thanks for the help. That was easy.....Now how do you get the cylinder apart from the yoke? Sorry, but I'm learning. It doesn't spin easy at all...needs cleaned and lubed...

Left hand threads? Who'd a thunk it!  :oops: Its apart and together, what a difference. Sure made the DA trigger pull better, the cylinder spins free know. I got it used and I'm sure its never been apart. Now to go lookin for some more Smiths. :lol: Many thanks guys. Hammerdown, the books on order from midway!!
