Scope Bases for the H&R sidekick

Hello Everybody) I just order a Sidekick from Bass Pro. never shot
a ML before. My first* anyway do you have to buy the Scope Bases from
H&R or can you buy a different name brand  ( CVA,Traditions, etc.)

It's the same as for a handi rifle... read this thread off the nef centerfire rifles page.

hey guys if you buy a 2005 sidekick the weaver 82 base is perfect fit and it give you a decent site window for the open sites, all three holes line up and the package it also says made for NEF...I dont know if on the older sidekicks these worked but on the new ones they fit perfect..and if your in a rush like me you can get them at Basspro (were I got mine)..
