My brother owns a CZ 550 Full Stock in 7x57mm and when a friend of his saw Duffy's rifle, he too, had to have one, so there are two CZ 550 Full Stock rifles in 7x57mm floating around in El Paso. Duffy got his after handling my CZ 550 American in 7x57mm, and especially after trying that fabulous single set trigger. With handloads his rifle will put three 160 grain Nosler Partition rounds into a .75 inch group. The euro chamberings all have very long throats and very fast-twist barrels. The 7mm Mausers sport a 1x8.66 twist barrel. Those twists are supposedly to stabilize the heavier bullets. My rifle shoots 162 grain Hornady and 160 grain Nosler Partitions with astonishing accuracy. Duffy refinished his stock and then had a gunsmith in El Paso put a small herringbone jewell on the bolt and had the gunsmith polish the bolt handle to the bright nickle finish under the black. They are very, very slick little rifles. I just wish I had bought one of the full stocks in 7x57mm before CZ discontinued the 7mm Mauser in its line of rifles for the American market. They are sweet. I see on GunBroker.com that they are selling for about $580. Oh well. Just my two cents worth. Tom Purdom
