I had to go back to the Gun Store
« on: September 14, 2005, 01:15:52 PM »
:-D  I wasn't satisfied with a Custom 6.5 Swede no not me I just had to stop again after school. A Custom FN Mauser in 308Win jumped in my hands I could let the rifle be lonely could I???? :)  I just had to bring it home. By the way my boss was still at work so I'm safe for now. It has a Beautiful Maple stp and SPI 4X with tapered Crosshair all for $350.00. What was I to do money burning a hole in my pocket and a need to buy something I really don't need. Seriously has any one had any experience with the FN Mauser actions?

jm,  FN Mauser actions are the action that almost all modern bolt actions are based on.  It is hard to improve on an FN, although many are trying.  Like all things, some companies make them better than others, but Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Liege, Belgium does it right, always has.  Nothing fancy, just strong, reliable and accurate(with a good barrel).  Enjoy your rifle.

Jim thanks for the info. I was stationed in the Netherlads at Brunssom and worked in Maastricht went to Liege alot over my 4 years there. You are correct about one thing for sure the FN folks know how to make quality firearms.
