Which model Leupold?

That 300Wby Mag is a real kicker - kicks noticeably harder than the "regular" Win Mag.

Tell us how it shoots.

The one that is going to be following me home is walnut and blued Vanguard Sporter in .257 Weatherby.  The .300 Weatherby Magnum is about the most versatile of the .30 caliber magnums.  Sure it will have a bit more recoil than the .300 Winchester Magnum but again it is faster and hits harder.  But you can’t shoot .300 H&H ammo in a .300 Winchester like you can a .300 Weatherby.  Lawdog

The scope is a rifleman, I don't think recoil for this bolt gun will be as bad as it was for my No1 in 300wby.

I don't have much experience with the Rifleman series of scopes, but I do know that it uses friction adjustments as opposed to standard click adjustments.  To me, this is silly given that even cheaper scopes have click adjustments.

I honestly don't know how well it will hold up to the recoil of the mighty .300 Wby over time.
