This thing has been randomly jamming cartridges between the slide and the barrel since it was new. Still is, actually--there have probably been less than 100 rounds fired in it total.
When the cartridge leaves the clip, it seems to hang just as it enters the chamber, getting pinched as the slide moves forward into it. Consequently, the slide doesn't move all the way forward and the breach doesn't close.
I can't get the pistol to repeat this while working the slide manually, unless I slowly work the slide (jams every time) or don't allow the slide to travel all the way back (same result).
I did notice, however, that the last two clips i shot through it didn't kick the slide open after the last shot like it should have. I'm thinking maybe the slide isn't traveling all the way back when the gun jams. If that is the case, I think maybe the recoil spring is too stiff. Do y'all agree with that logic? Maybe I can just trim a bit off the spring and fix it...
BTW, the gun IS clean and oiled, and I have always used round nose ammunition (which, i've been told, should never jam).
I feel like i just wrote a book--sorry, i'm a bit frustrated right now.
