handirifle,

Gonna terrorize the coyote and bobcat population this winter.

Hopefully NOT with the .17 HMR.  It was never designed for critters the size of Bobcats or Coyotes.  It has been tried and failed miserably.  Stick with the .223 Rem. instead.  Lawdog

Using the 17gr grenade, I agree.

Actually the 20gr Gamegetter bullet was designed for the larger animals.  This according to several manufactures.  That said, it will get a good workout from me on double shoulder shots on Jackrabbits before I try it on cats.  Never had any intention on trying it on coyotes, although they do say the 20gr is for them too.  That is what the 223 is for.

Bobcats around here only run 20-25lbs and that is not too big for the .17.

The 20gr bullet "is designed" to expand, not grenade like the 17 gr.  Like I said, I'll test it on shoulder shots on the Jacks.  Their front shoulders are not much smaller than the bobcats.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
