Cousin has one in 270.  He shoots the 130? Corelokts very well.  Never measured a group.  Personally, I hate the stock.  I had one in 308.  The cousin doesn't care.  The rifle goes "bang" that's all that matters.  To me the stock was noisy if you scratched it or thumped it walking.  I have an SPS in 7-08 now....even uglier stock.  Need a Boyds one.

Bottom line, good rifle, get a new stock for $75.

I don't shoot factory loads.  I still have the ten year old box of Remington 130 gr ammo from the day I bought the gun.  It has a preference for IMR 4350 and Hornady 140gr BTSP, but it shoots most any handload to point of aim with little fuss.

The Tupperware stock is ok.  Not great just ok.  I free-floated the barrel and bedded the action.  The Mattel stock has one advantage. I can beat the heck out of it and it is no big deal.  I had a 'smith adjust the trigger.  The OEM Trashco World Class? 3x9 that came on the gun was recently replaced with a Meuller 3x10.

It is the most accurate, reliable and easy-to-shoot gun I own.

ya gotta bed your syn adl, rid the forearm of the pressure bumps, and sand the pee-wad-diddly out of the forearm inside to float that barrel and keep the whippy forearm from slapping the barrel. adjust the trigger to something crispish in the 3.5 pound range and go bang, bang. mine seems to like ww 130-grain power points just fine (1.125 inch groups), but that's the only load i've tried. will try hornady and rem. i may go to handloading for it, too, but i've little time nowadays.

The only plastic stock I had was an el chepo Butler Creek model I put on a M96 Swede. I had to hog out the interior and insert an aluminum rail to bed it properly, but the rifle resisted all my efforts to shoot anythng other than 4" round groups. My youngest son took it to Pennsylvania with him, he's not a gun nut, so with his equally inaccurate Type 30 Arisaka Carbine he's happy.
