How do these new rifles stack up against the model 600 they used to put out. I see it comes in some fine calibers, does anyone have one of these new rifles?

I think the model 673 is built on the model 7 action. I don't know much about the model 600. I believe the model 600 had a 18 inch barrel and is pretty light. I'm kind of torn between a model 673 in 350 Remington Magnum and a model 700 CDL in 35 Whelen! I want to get one of the two but I keep going back and forth on them!

I have my NIB still unfired CDL Whelen up for sale on the Classifieds either with or without the Leupold Vari-X III 1.75-6 scope.

The 673 Guide Gun should be a little better handling the Magnum calibers than the 600 and 660 did.  The 673 has a longer barrel than both of those older models.

I believe the 6.5mm mag and the .350 mag will again be the ones to have in time to come, for collectability sake, but who knows for sure.  

I toyed with the idea of buying a 673 not long ago.  I could never make up my mind on which caliber to buy, even tho the 6.5mm mag is the one I wanted.  So I didn't buy any of them............yet.  

Then, wouldn't ya know it, Remington offered a 35 Rem in a 7600 Carbine.  So the 673 is now in the back seat.

So many guns.............So little time.........

I won a 673 at the NRA dinner in the 350 - traded it for the 300RSAUM.
bought a bos of 150 gr corelokt ultras. This gun will shott one ragged hole at 100 yrds. Have taken several deer with it and now my son has taken it over. Will probally load 150 gr swift scirocco's for it this yaer. Hate to mess with it bring thats it's so accurate, but I like the scirocco bullets a lot better for hunting.

ps- If I had it to do over I would most liklly have kept the 350 mag. I just didn't think I needed ot at the  time.
