Let's Get Some Discussion Going, Waddaya' Say?

In the meantime, Smith & Wesson had been purchased by a conglomerate named Bangor Punta. In 1970, Bangor Punta also purchased 54% of Taurus. Thus, the two companies became "sisters". Smith & Wesson never owned Taurus. They were both independent companies. However, during the next seven years, a great deal of technology and methodology was passed between the two. What may come as a surprise to some is that more of what was "right" in Porto Alegre was sent to Springfield than was sent from Springfield to south of the equator.

From http://www.taurususa.com/company/history.cfm .  What do you think of this?

I find that a little hard to swallow, I would say unless we were given some specific examples, that statement is simply their opinon.....

Nope! Can't buy into that statement. I owned and shot the "old" Taurus guns in  the '60s and '70s. They had no quaility (what was "right") to send north. Now, I do own several late model Tauruses. While not up to the finish of my Smiths, I feel the new Taurus line is a good, serviceable product. I  think their associations with Smith and Beretta brought them a long way up the road to quality.
