Shaner.
I put a set of Uncle Mikes hard rubber grips on my model 85. I had the smaller wooden factory grips which are very concealble but I needed a bigger grip. I do like the Uncle Mikes. On other hanguns I have used Pearce grips and liked them. I've not tried Houge.

Hogue Monogrip extends below the butt. Have one on my GP-100 and really like it. Have several other Hogues and really like the feel. The Hogue website has the Monogrip shown on a Mod. 85.

Ditto on the Uncle Mikes. I believe they call them a boot grip. KN

Most of the Hogues are $16-$18 at my local shop. Don't know about the UM's. We don't have a large sporting goods store that carries more than a couple of the more popular models of anything. I ordered my last set for my 1911 from Cheaper Than Dirt. Was about the same price and had to pay shipping, but couldn't find them locally.
