Swiss black powder in SW Washington?
« on: June 28, 2005, 10:42:56 AM »
Do any of you folks know a source for Swiss black powder in SW Washington?  All the stores around me carry nothing but Goex.  Ordering some in is not an option, because of storage concerns, minimum orders, etc.  Any store between Vancouver and Olympia along I-5 carry the stuff?

Thanks.

Don't know if you can get it in your state, but Graf's mail order will sell as little as a pound at a time.  There is a 20$ hazmat fee, but I normaly order 10-15 pounds at a time.  There Graf's brand powder ain't bad eigther.

Many thanks for the info.  When I said ordering it in wasn't an option, I just meant it wasn't an option for the stores I deal with, not a state wide thing.  It looks like I'll be choosing between Powder Inc. and Graf's for Swiss, unless I can convince my main dealer to use Powder Inc. as his source.  That would give him the option of mixing and matching different brands of powder, and buying less than 25 lbs., two things his current supplier won't let him do.

I had completely forgotten about Graf's, so thanks again for the reminder.

Talk To J.R. at the Maine Powderhouse

www.mainepowderhouse.com

He sells only by the case but you can mix and match. He might also know who has it near you.

For other folks looking for a Washington state retail outlet for Swiss, J. R. said there's one in Poulsbo, Sharp Shooters Supply.  That's a $40 round trip gas bill for me, so I'm ordering from Powder, Inc.
