Just picked up a CZ-52 7.62x25. What is a good bullet to reloading these with. One book says use 0.307 while others say use 0.311.

The bullets that midwayUSA sells are the .309 diameter Hornady and the .308 diameter Sierra bullets.  If i was going to use anything larger i would slug the barrel first.                                BigBill

Measure a bullet from a commercial or mil-surp round. It will also depend on the expander that comes with the die. If the expander is for a .311 the sized case won't hold a .308 bullet firmly. Measure the expander.

PA-joe:  the 7.62x25mm Tokarev/CZ-52 cartridge, and the 30 Mauser cartridge take a .308 diameter bullet.  Hornaday makes a 90 gn bullet for that cartridge and I believe someone else makes an 85 gn hp for it as well.

BTW - when I first got my Tok and was shooting old mil-surp stuff, the bullets from the Chinese ammo miked .306, some older eurpoean stuff miked .307, Fiochhi 30 Mauser miked .308 and Sellier and Bellot miked .308.  The .308 loads are the most accurate in my Tok with 2 different barrels.  HTH.  Mikey.

You could buy 32 caliber lead handgun bullets and size them down with a Lee sizer to .308 or .309 - You may want to drop the velocity a bit though.
