Oklahoma Trip
« on: May 22, 2005, 12:45:24 PM »
Just mapped out the Trip Route, from here in Virginia to Oklahoma.

Virginia to Maryland to Pennsylvania to Ohio to Indiana to Illinois to Missouri to Kansas then Oklahoma.  1531 miles, taking 3 days to drive, not in a big hurry.

Never been in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahome before.  Glad we will get to see some more of this great country.  Parts of my family went to Oklahoma during the 1860's, wonder if I will run into any of them. :)

Know I must be forgetting something, but what?

Iffen yer drives carefully and watches where ya going hopefully ya won't run into anyone and no one will run into you. Them wrecks is expensive and sorta toss in a bit of delay in your trip.

Me and Dennis will be leaving here and heading to B'ham where we'll pick up US78 to just south of Memphis, TN where we'll catch I40 to Van Buren, AR and will spend the night there. We'll then head out early the next morning after a big ol breakfast and hit Hooker some time on Thursday afternoon. Jist when depends on how many stops we make along the way. Old folks have to stop and rest frum time to time.
