Lefthand Tikka T3????
« on: May 20, 2005, 07:00:27 PM »
I've heard rumors that Tikka's coming out with a lefty model of the T-3.
Has anyone else heard about this?

Lefthand Tikka T3????

After waiting three weeks Beretta finally responded to my question. I specifically asked what model and when. They didn't say which model T3 and they said they were behind in production of right handers, so it would be sometime in 06.

Afterward they sent me a questionnaire about my satisfaction with their response. I gave them very low marks(possibly some residual from my poor customer service with Benelli a few years back).

I also sent them an email regarding left hand T3s. Actually, I had to send an email  twice because the first one went unanswered.

I was told that they would be available in late 2005, however, that may have changed in the last 5 months.

I was on Beretta's webiste this morning and saw where they stated a lefty T3 would be coming out in Fall 2006.  They didn't offer any additional details.  Probably just be the T3 hunter.  I wouldn't expect them to offer southpaws versions of their stainless/laminate or varmint models.  The lefty Sako 75 is only offered in .25-06, .270 Win, and .30-06.  I'd be surprised if the lefty T3 is offered in much more than those calibers.  Of course I always figured .30-06 would be a great rifle to take to Africa (Hey, I can dream, can't I?).

Now what I'd like to see is a lefty Sako 85.

I don't know which 3 cartridges they will be, but if I were a betting man, I would say that at least two of them would be the .30-06 and .270.

Tikka`s can be had for ( relative to here, Australia ) good  prices lately and I`d love one and I am considering ( seeing how I can juggle it basically ) paying one off. Then I thought, what about a left handed Tikka T3? Sweet!  I emailed the local and got told  `not at this time` and really, the market not being terribley big here, not likely.  I was directed towards a Left handed Sako blued synthetic, bare, for 1800 bucks ( AUD ) !!!! I think I`ll go with a right handed T3 and just live with it, I`ve shot right handed guns for the past 25 years anyway, stilll it was fun while it lasted....

Beretta offers the Sako 75 Hunter in a left-handed version. This product is available in 25-06 Rem, 270 Win, and 30-06 Sprg calibers. A Tikka T3 model in a left hand action  and offered in a wider range of cartridge chambering's will be available in the Fall of 2006, please check our web site for updates.  If you would like to purchase one of these rifles,  please contact your local dealer for more information.  To locate a dealer near you,  visit our web site online at http://www.berettausa.com/dealer_locator/index.htm.
