ever cancelled an order?
« on: May 11, 2005, 11:31:00 AM »
After months of painfull research I finally ordered a sauer 202 walnut in 7 mag, my favorite caliber. It's a lot a $ but I felt like I was getting a fair deal. But after a restless night thinking about the financing, the saftey set up and holding my tikka I called up and cancelled the order. I have mixed  emotions since I've put so much thought into it. Another issue was all the future trips to gun shops the rest of the year and in no way being able to afford another rifle. The sauer is a beautiful gun but I just can't see parting with my tikka. Anybody else go through this painfull process?

Many times when I was a dealer, thats why I required payment up-front on ordered guns so that if the wholeseller charged me I wasnt out of money because someone changed their mind, if I wasnt charged anything all the money was returned to the customer, no surprises everyone was in the know if you didnt want to pay up-front we just didnt order it, I think maybe 3 people didnt like it, but oh well :D    JIM

You were right to cancel the order.  If you ever have any doubts in your mind over the purchase of whatever then you are best to cancel.  Have I ever done it?  Yes and was glad I did weeks later.  Lawdog

Anytime I lose sleep over spending money, I know I am making a bad purchase. This applies to everything, not just guns.
