I currently have a .223 LVSF On layaway.  I really like the feel of this rifle more than any I have held in while.  I think it may be my new favorite rifle.  Who knows how long that will last.  Anyways, I wanted to know if any of you have any updates to your experiences with this rifle.  Accuracy, especially shot to shot say 2 to 3 shots rapidly... ect..

Thanks ya'll :-D

It's a cool looking rifle, and light too.

I have never held on in my hands, but given that it has a thin barrel, it is same to assume that it will heat quicker than a thicker barrel.  However, given that you are talking about a .223 which has, relatively speaking, a small amount of powder, I wouldn't worry about the barrel overheating on 2 or 3 rapid shots.  Now, if it was a .270 or so, then the barrel rise in temperature would be more noticeable.

Actually the OD of the muzzle is around .625".  It is listed as a medium barrel.  When I looked at it I noticed the barrel has a reasonably thick taper to the muzzle.  I am pretty excited.

I just went to Remington's stie and noticed that.  Either way, a .223 isn't going to generate much heat after 2 or 3 rapid shots.

BTW, Remington is listing the gun at an MSRP of almost a grand?  Yikes.  Remington sure is getting expensive.

I just went and paid for mine.  It was about $830.00 out the door.  Marked price was $749.00.  All of them were display models and all of them had scuffs in the stock.  Kind of irked me but for the price I guess it isn't that bad a litte Sharpe should fix the scuffs up.

I have the Remington LVSF 223 cal. It is a great Rifle. Don't worry about the two to three shots and barrel heat.  The barrel is also fluted to help. Should not be a problem at all. Try 50, 52 and 55 grain bullets with the Nosler guide for the most *accurate loads and you will be pleased    Also don't skimp on the rings, mounts and scope.  No less than a Leoplod V-X III 3.5 to 10 in a 40mm. Save up,.. but this combo I have mentioned above is tried and field tested.

Good Luck

I love mine, got the 22-250 about a month ago.  Getting under MOA with 50g Hornady V-Max that I reloaded.  Its a great gun.  Lucky for me, I got mine for $700 out the door, and then got the $50 dollar rebate, so $650 wasn't bad I guess.....

I've got one in a 221 Fireball that I picked up from Jon's Gun Shop in Roanoke AL for $512 shipped. This is by far the best little rifle I've got for called in varmints. Very accurate and not to noisy.
