Vermont's Comissioner of Fish and Wildlife has advised that it is NOW illegal to import into Vermont whole deer carcasses from New York. Currently it is still legal to feed and bait deer in Vermont. They are considering banning, totally, the feeding/baiting of deer in an effort to thwart the spread of CWD to Vermont.
Vermonter's hunting in NY can still bring venison into Vermont, but it has to be completely deboned, and skull caps must be cleaned.
