Greybeard,
Haven't been on for a while but was wondering how the shoulder was coming along and if you fired up that 35 Whalen yet.How about a report ?Sounds like a heck of a rifle.

Shoulder (both of them actually) still the same and will be until or unless I decide to have the surgery which I'll likely keep putting off as long as I can.

Haven't fired the rifle yet. Heck I have at least 6-8 guns still unfired waiting their turn. Right now what shooting I'm doing is getting ready for the NEF Prairie Dog shoot in OK next month.

Listen here, GB & Zachery,

It just so happens that I love to shoot and would consider it a joy to serve you by shooting your guns for you (you providing the ammo?) :-D .  Y'all are unreal.  Hey, if you want them tested, chronographed, and shot, send them down to good ole GA.

Ship them up here.

I'll be glad to do the shootin for you.

I can even get the Rifles back to you in a year or so, or how ever long it takes you to get your Surgery and Rehab done.

Heck, this could take 5 or 10 years.  I don't mind.

Greybeard,
What can I say?I'm sorry to hear that you are still going through all that discomfort with the shoulders.I know what you are going through.I held off as long as I could too but when it got to the point where I was litteraly beating my head against the wall with pain,I decided on the surgery. It was a good idea but the theropy about killed me too.Looking back though,I'm glad I had the surgery. At the bench,I use the Past recoil shield on my shoulder. It really helps.Hope everything turns out ok for you and good luck with the prarie dog shoot.Sounds fun.Have a good time.

I know how Greybeard feels. I have torn nerve and muscle in my right shoulder/bicep. Got  my new Handi 45-70 and sighted it in. luckily it only took 4 shots, hurt more than my 3" mag 870........... :( and that was with Remington 300 grain.........

Graybeard......you aint getting any younger........if your going to get that shoulder fixed, you'll be much better off in surgery at age 60 than at age 70......don't wait much longer......go get the shoulder fixed and enjoy life!

I had a bad right shoulder that I put off and put off having fixed. The delay allowed  loss in movement and strength. I ended up giving in to the doctor and having the surjury and it was worth it!!!! The rehab was hard but I cant tell you how much better I feel.

Send 'em to me, Graybeard.  I'll put as many thousand rounds through them as you like.  For a fee, I'll take 'em hunting in Alaska or Africa for you, and send you a full repoert. :)
