What do you think of taking this gun and buying a new stock and barrel?  It would be kind of neat to build up a Sako for around less than $1000.  Any input on this would be appreciated.

I would contact Sako and find out if the metal problems during this time effected only the barrels or also the actions.

The problem Sako had with their stainless rifles extended to the actions also.  I wouldn't trust the action on this if they gave it to me.  Lawdog
