Do you like the TT-33 better than the CZ-52?

Does the safety lever still work??  The grip isn't knotched out for it like the other grip is?? It looks tight like it won't work and maybe those orginal grips are for the tokarev when it has no safety lever.

Good point on the grip fit BigBill - but if they basically lock the safety open that would also be fine.  The Tok is designed with a very square cut "C" notch in the hammer that is designed to be a half (actually 1/4) cock safety - ya'll would have to bust it with a sledgehammer to get it to fire.  The 'added on' safeties don't always work.  I have installed 3 on my Tok and they have all failed, so I removed the safety and carry it as a field piece on half cock.  If I could find a safety that worked I would go back to carrying the piece as a personal item on full cock with thesafety on.

But those are sure nice looking grips JOE - kinda remind me of the older Radom P-35 grips.  Mikey.

Thats exactly why I got them because they will lock the safety in the fire position.

Thanks Mikey..... 8)

PA Joe brought up a good point some guys like the tok's better than the CZ52's.  I shot my first Tok the other day and i'm surprised the way it handled the 9mm round but Mikey did say it was made for the more powerful 7,62x25 round.  While the Tok doesn't fit me the way a 1911 feels in my hand its not a bad little shooter/plinker.  I'm sure most overlook and pass up these fun affordable little pistols too, while they may look a little different they do shoot good and they maybe worth a second look. I'll have to breakout some S&B 7,62x25 and take one out and try it too soon.  I compared the 7,62x25 round to the 357SIG once but some said there's no comparison because the 357SIG has a larger bullet diameter. I think the key is the speed to these little 30cal rounds. I wouldn't go bear hunting with it but it doesn't look like a bad defence round.

D MAN - that 7.32x25mm Tokarev/30 Mauser is a combat proven round having served both european and Combloc nations.  It is an incredibly powerful cartridge.  The Chinese found it necessary to develop body armor specifically to defeat this round.  The Soviets finally reduced the pistol/sidearm to a defensive level when they developed the Markarov cartridge and pistol.  Prior to that the Tokarev was a a combat pistol and I found it to be very effective in the field.

I don't think my hand is as large as yours sounds but my Tok fits me very well.  The 1911 is a different pistol that also fits my hand very well, as does the P-08 Luger, the Walther P-Series, the Beretta 34s and 70s, and the S&W Revolvers.

True, the 7.62x25 is not the 357 Sig but I wouldn't have any problem with the idea of sliding my Tok into my belt in place of a 357 Sig level for personal issues but I wouldn't take either one Bear huntin'.

Ron Reed has some smokin' loads for that cartridge and he is one of our sponsors.  Check out his site and I think youwill be happy with what you see.  HTH.  Mikey.
