Has anyone seen the 2005 models anywhere yet? I do not see any of them at the usual on line gun broker sites yet either. I am just wondering about price and availability.

I think (or hopeing)that the price will be somewhere between the hunter line and the varmit line but I will wait and see. I would like to see up close.

I saw the same ad tonight in American Hunter. I've never been a fan of Savage, but they are slowing growing on me. My last 2 buys have been Savage, might have to consider one of these too.

I talked to a rep at Savage that said the MSRP is gonna be around 615.00 bucks....so that puts that Savage 114 Classic as a 510.00 to 550 dollar gun...(maybe higher since it's a new model)....not too far from a remington CDL........you can even find a Tikka or two out there for 585.00     So pick your poison......but I have always heard of great accuracy from savage right out of the box.........and it's a great looking gun..........wish you luck ........

What are the main advantages of a 114 over a 110 or it simply an upgraded version of the 110?

Looking for a good 30-06 for bench shooting and hunting.
