Tikka / Remington feedback
« on: April 20, 2005, 03:27:17 AM »
I have been flooded with info helping me in the decision making process .
I have to say the more I hear, the more torn I am .......I have found a few Tikka's for a great price.....(and the prices are ALL over the board)..and the Rem 700 ADL with walnut stocks are kinda scarce, but there are still several around...new in the box.....Seems it's a moot point to try and determine which is better....although every dealer I have spoken with ..without exception says the Tikka is the best value , and is the best manufactured gun on the market for under 800.00 bucks.
As Doc Holiday would say....."Opinions Vary ".......so I will let you know AFTER I decide....wish me luck.....perhaps an old Dutch Uncle of mine will leave me some money so I can get both......happy Trails.....!!!!!

Between those two?  TIKKA

I own many brands of rifles, including the Remingtons and Tikkas.  IMHO the Tikka has better quality and perhaps better accuracy (although virtually all of my Remingtons are MOA or better as well).

True, the Sako is a better gun than the Tikka, and that's in part because the Sako does not use plastic parts like Tikka does.  The barrels are the exact same too.  Still, at almost double the money, although Sakos are nicer than the Tikkas, I can't say that they are twice nicer.

The Tikkas really are the best value on the current market.
