Sierra 200gr or Hornady 220gr for combo load?
« on: April 17, 2005, 10:41:18 AM »
Wanting to know if I should use the Sierra 200gr or Hornady 220gr bullet for combo black bear/ deer load in my 375 Win?  The deer here are kinda small so I don't want them to just run off if possible.

Well, I had posted this on another forum and was advised to call Sierra, good advice.

I did, and was suprised to learn the Sierra bullet is made of harder lead than the Hornady 220gr bullet.  Was told a shoulder shot with this bullet from the 375 Win would be NO PROBLEM.

Now I know.
