Kimber Sporterized 98 Mauser

I recently traded for a Kimber Sporterized 30.06.  Just had to post and brag on it a little.

The rifle shoots MOA at 100 yards using factory Winchester 165 grain Power Points.  Has a stainless fluted barrel and a new Timney trigger.  It is actually a pleasure to shoot. The Monte Carlo synthetic stock fits me to a tee.  Rifle has a VZ24 action.

Any of you folks had any experience with a Kimber Sporter and can any one advise me on the value of this rifle.  No Dings, everthing about it looks new.

You have a Kimber sporterized VZ24 Mauser. These were made on a limited basis quite a few years back.......I may be wrong, but these were made in Clackamas, Oregon during Kimber's second attempt at business but prior to moving to New York. I might have that wrong.  As I recall they ran around $300 back then..........and again I could be wrong but I think they were made 8 years ago or so.

Good find! Not that I've been trying, but I haven't seen one for sale EVER, either on the 'net or in gunshows.   :D

Where on the rifle is the stamping (Clackamas)located?

Just curious I bought a M98 30-06 recently from a guy who got it new in Eugene...

Thanks.
