CZ 527 American Accuracy

Anyone used one?  Is it reasonably accurate?  I held one on Saturday; seems like a sweet little gun.

It sure is one sweet little gun. My .223 seems to like the lighter bullets. (slow twist barrel). I get 3/4 inch groups with Winchester USA 45 grain JHP. Good enough for me from such a lightweight rifle and cheap factory loads.

The thing that really impressed me was the single set trigger.  Like a glass rod.  I don't know why, but it sent a thrill down my spine to use a trigger like that.  It was a thing of beauty after my abominable Savage 111 trigger.

3/4 inch groups?  That's good.  I can't shoot that good yet, but that's one reason I want a little .223.  I know the bull barrel would be more accurate, but I want to hunt coyotes with it; I don't like carrying 12 pounds of gun around if I can carry 7.

Anyway, thanks for the quick response.

i have a brno(cz) in .22 hornet, accurate, nice standard set trigger, the action is very tough(mauser) and strong but feels a bit agricultural, compared to my tikka t3 anyway.
to me the brno represents a gun of fine character and style,as well as being reliable and accurate..............i think i  answered the question i just posted re .223 choice above!!!!!
i would have no hesitation in recommending the brno range of guns, even moreso if you intend shooting anything dangerous(the mauser  is a true controlled round feed action that is ,if you pardon the pun......bullet proof and will work in the harshest of conditions)

I have shot my CZ 527 American and have shot the following group sizes to date: 3 shots into 7/16 in., 5 shots into 9/16 in., 3 shots into 1/2 in. and 3 shots into 3/8 in. These have been my best and will not tell you that I have done this every time. I have been trying different ammo and so far the one that shoots the best is Black Hills remanufactured 52 gr. match hollow points. I still want to try the Win. 45 gr. white box. I will say that this is a sweet little rifle and a joy to shoot.

I'm in the same boat as ramrod. Likes the lighter bullets and loves the Win White Box 45gr JHPs.

Great rifle and pretty too.

Eddie,
I think the CZ 527 will convince you that you don't need a 12 lb. rifle to shoot 1/2" groups or better.
Great rifles.
Best,
