A separate forum for Freedom Arms. I've got lust in my heart for a FA in 45 Colt with about a 4" barrel. And for a mere $1600 I could HAVE one if I could convince my wife that it was a $500 gun!!

Don't know about a seperate forum, but like you, I do believe(money permitting) that just possibly a nice 32 magnum FA is in my near future too.

My only problem with them is that I'm not particularly fond of the sorta "semi-Bisley" style grip frame they use. I'm gonna try to get them to use a regular Ruger Single-Six/Blackhawk grip frame if I order one.

I'm used to that grip frame, and don't really like anything else as good now.

Dusty I think you are going about the money aspect the wrong way. I know my wife at least would know much closer than that to what I really spent so it would be easier to convince her that it was a $2500 gun that I got for $1600. It's kinda like when she saves me money by buying, on sale, a new pair of blue shoes that look (to me anyway) just like the pair she has. What a bargain!

Look for a FA on the used market. I just bought another one , a model 83 in 454 10 1/2 icnh barrel and a 2.5x7 T/C for $900. Thats about a $1800 combo?

Yes, I passed on one today, a field grade 454 in the box, with a 2X Nikon on it, for $900 or so.......I can't afford to buy all of them, but I thought that was a good deal.......
