Bill, they work great from a little ole .300 Whisper, I would bet that they work just fine outta your .309 JDJ.  Otta send it just screaming along.. :grin:

I had one of these until some low-life broke in and stole it. I've used the 150s on antelope at over 100yards and the exit wound was large enough to put a fist in. I'd go with what JD recommends, the 165grNBT. I've had good luck with the Hornady 135gr pistol bullet in .30 caliber. It's light, but doesn't have the explosive expansion the NBT does. RKBA!

I use 135 grain SS Seirra's with 4350 pow. Check with SSK for loads,they will give them to you.  Great round  IMHO
