I dont have one, but I know a couple guys at the range who do and they seem to like them very well. From what i 've been told they cycle any ammo fed to them too.... :D

My buddie and I have shoot over six boxes thru his 24/7 9mm. It does handle any ammo. Feels so good because they used same grip angle as the classic 1911!!!
Good shooting..mt

sd550...I have a 24/7 in .40 and love it!!  As far as the trigger pull, it's not what I would choose for slow, ultra accurate shooting...but that's not what i bought this gun to do; I bought it to put holes in man-sized targets at ranges from 0-25 yds.  it does that flawlessly!!  I am not a "great" pistol shot, but I definitely feel confident out to 25 yds. with this gun.

The one thing I can fault the gun on is that it's a real pain in the rear to disassemble/reassemble (especially putting it back together).

Anyway, good luck and let us know if you end up getting one  :D

i have a stainless 24/7 in 45 and really like it for what i bought it for, ie carring into atlanta.. at 25 yds i put 10 of 10 in a chest size target..the trigger is pretty bad, long & heavy but usable.. i have assembled & disassimbled mine about 15 times and have yet to have any throuble after i figured out how to get it apart..don't read the maunel pasr which way to push the dissambly lever.

I have had a stainless 24/7 in 9mm for about 4 months now.  It has turned out to be one of my all time favorite all-around guns.  Yes, as many will tell you the trigger is not designed for ultra accuracy.  If that is what you want then this is the wrong gun.  However,  my impression of the trigger is that it is one of the best double action triggers I have ever felt and that includes comparisons to many revolver DA triggers.  The reset on the trigger is reasonably short (slightly longer than that of a Glock) and it stacks very, very little before release which is smooth.  I have a Sig 229 DAK and the triggers are nearly indistinguishable to me.  The trigger is nearly on par (about 90% same feel) as that of a Glock with the advantage of being true double action, manual safety, good grip angle, excellent grip ergonomics, etc....

Beyond the inevitable trigger issues my impressions are as follows: Surprisingly tight slide to frame fit.  I like the steel (or alloy) frame  inserted into a polymer grip design of the 24/7 much better than the polymer frame with molded in steel rails or simply polymer rails alone concept.  The width and weight of the gun make it much easier for me to conceal than most anything else that offers the same caliber/capacity equivalent (the only more compact 9mm that offers near this capacity that I know of is the Walther P99 which I do not care for for reasons not worth getting into here).  I like the manual safety OPTION.  I capitalized "option" to emphasize you can simply leave it off and odds are very slim you would even know it was there.  I also like WHERE the manual safety is located and how it operates (1911 style up=safe, down=off).

The finish looks very good but too soon to comment on long-term wearability other than in the ~12 weeks I have carried it concealed daily there is no finish wear noticed as yet.  The grip angle and ergonomics are outstanding - most comfortable grip on any handgun I own (over 20 and still growing my collection).  The recoil on any mid to full size 9mm is usually pretty mild and I find the recoil on the 24/7 to be on the very low side of the mild spectrum which was a little surprising given its light weight compared to some other heavier 9mms I won which seem to have greater perceived recoil.  Grip angle and grip design probably are major contributing factors to the low recoil.  In any event I get back on target very fast which is very important with a defensive/combat  pistol.

The sights appear taller and higher than what I usually like, however, I find them to be very easy to pick up and totally snag-free.  Accuracy was outstanding out of the box.  I have thus far put exactly 408 rounds (yes, I do keep a log) of a mix of different brands, weights, and bullet styles through it with 100% perfect function and excellent accuracy (not a tack driver but I can shoot very fast and reasonably tight groups at 10, 15, and 25 yards).   When shooting in defensive drills I found I had to remind myself the trigger was DAO.  It is only when trying to dot an "i" with a slow and focused pinpoint shot that I really noticed the trigger was DAO.

I do not like the integrated lock on the slide and I also do not at all like how the gun breaks down for field stripping.  You would almost think it easily comes apart from the Sig'ish or Beretta'ish looking takedown lever.  However, the lockup/takedown pin is a bit of a pain to get out and get back in as well.  Another thing I dislike, and the owner's manual conveniently neglects to mention this, is that you have to pull the trigger (at least on the 9mm 24/7) after you remove the takedown pin to allow the slide to come off the rails (this actually is an unfortunate requirement of several other guns as well).   Obviously if you exercise reasonable safety precautions this is not going to be an issue but I would prefer the 24/7 to just 'pop' apart like a Beretta but nothing is perfect!

The 24/7 is not the ‘everything' gun that does it all and does it all perfectly for everyone - I am still waiting for that to hit the market.  The 24/7 is in my opinion one of the best guns around for its intended purpose which is as a defensive/combat firearm to be used by law enforcement and civilians for defensive applications.  My collection of handguns recently exceeded 20 and includes a SIG, Berettas, CZ's, Springfields, SW revolvers, Rugers etc.....   I have also gotten rid of about as many hanguns as I currently have because they did not meet my expectations (Glock, Steyr, Para, Smiths etc...).  That having been said, the joy of owning a new gun has worn off at this point and  yet I still am positive the 24/7 is one of the best designed and built guns I own and it is definitely a keeper and worthy part of my collection and I do bet my life on it every day over some other supposedly 'higher quality' guns.  If my Sig 229 or Beretta 92 or Loaded Springfield 1911 with all the bells and whistles are really better quality than my 24/7 I cannot see it despite my technical education and attention to detail.
