« on: February 22, 2005, 02:48:58 PM »
Hello, I have Buddy who's father passed on. He wants to sell his dads  Remington 700 BDL in 222. I'm interested in buying it, The receiver is scroll engraved and the floor plate has a Ram engraved on it. Any idea what year this gun was made?? It looks new, Hi gloss finnish on wood -metal, May have never been fired, $600.00 to much?  Thanks Guys!  Jay

You may be able to take the serial number to the Remington page and determine when it was made.
I'll give him $600 for it.  Sight unseen if its anything like you say it is.

I'd be curious why there is a ram on a prairie dog rifle----unless it to symbolize you're going out for the dreaded wild bull P-dog.
