All the talk in another topic led me to dig for info about Savage Arms.

It was on their own website that I saw that they are privately owned, which is fine.  But it seems they came out of Bankruptcy with a new private owner in 1995.

What I didn't expect is:     Who owns it.

While I can't vouch for the accuracy of what I read on the net from old financial news stories........I am sort of SHOCKED.

Ronald Coburn was the CEO who brought Savage from the brink of bankruptcy to being profitable again, it was he, who raised the money to buy the company in 1995 and take it private, it's in the above link, third to last paragraph.

You are correct, but I can tell you this, what you have there is very vague in content.  It was dumb luck that I found what I did.  Google search engine is a wonderful thing.

Mr. Coburn did a good job since taking the reins of Savage, so I won't steal his thunder.  

After finding what I did this morning alot of things make sense.

Sorry for the tease but I won't respond further.
