I just caught the end of an ad yesterday. I believe it was from Sims Vibration Labs the people who make Limb Savers for bowhunters. They were advertising a little round "thingee" that slipped over your rifle barrell that was suppose to cut the vibration and resonance and said it would shoot tighter groups. Has any one seen these or has anyone used them? I use their stuff on my bow and it works, so I was just wondering.  :D

I use their recoil pads on one of my rifles, works great, but never heard of this donut thingy.  I dont think I could keep a straight face if I saw one on someones rifle

If your rifle shoots MOA, then you might jeopardize the guns accuracy by affecting its barrel vibration.  Then again, I guess the same could be true that if its accuracy is bad then this new thingy couldn't hurt - I guess.

Come to think about it, as I type this, it sounds like this thingy has an intended purpose similar to that of the BOSS - finding the right vibration level along the barrel so that you can find the right sweet spot.

I know that the BOSS really works...and I mean REALLY works.  I'm not quite sure how well this Simms thingy works though.  Plus, it sounds like it might affect a rifle's handling, plus it could probably move easily along the barrel and thus change it's vibration/accuracy.  I haven't even seen it, so I'm just guessing here.

I just clicked on the link and it looks impressive.

Then again, all my guns shoot 1MOA or better, so I don't have a need for it.  Still, I'm curious to hear our member's experiences with this product.

I'm also curious about this little thing. I'm sure I will be buying one the first time I see one on the shelf. Never hurt to give one a try.

Hmmm.  I saw something like that in an adult entertainment shop once, but it wasn't for your rifle barrel.

Mostly looking around like a slack jawed yokel with a puzzled look on my face.

I figured out what most of the things were for, but I couldn't quite figure out why you'd want some of them.
