Clean shot pellets - question
« on: February 11, 2005, 05:38:38 AM »
Hey all,
I picked up a container of clean shot 50gr. pellets to play around with in the Huntsman.  Just want to see what kind of performance I can get.  Unlike pyrodex pellets, these things are (1) square, and (2) tapered, almost like a pyramid with the top cut off.  I know these are caliber specific, ie. don't use .45's in a .50 cal, etc., etc.   My question is which way to load these down the barrel?? Skinny or fat end first??  Anyone have any experience with these pellets?  Thanks, Ambush

Just curious where did you buy clean shot in pellets? I was thinking about buying some powder but for hunting I perfer pellets or sticks. I now American Pioneer Powder,( APP) makes there powder in stick format also. I just purchased a container of APP stick and will be taking them to the range as soon as the weather breaks up here in WNY. I'd be interested in trying some Clean Shot sticks as well.

Bought them down here in south jersey at a place in Vineland called butch's gun world (my favorite store!!).  I know if you go to their website, they have a list of dealers....http://www.cleanshot.com/.   Give it a try.

While I was looking up their web address for you, I sent them an e-mail to ask about my original question.  Don't know why I didn't think of that before
